Heavyweight technology leader Dawie Olivier to join Jarden
Jarden is delighted to announce the appointment of Dawie Olivier as Chief Technology Officer.
Dawie is a technology leader with a distinguished career, whose fire lies in the overlap of people, technology, and innovation, leading him to generate transformative digital technologies and agile practices.
Jarden CEO James Lee said: “Dawie’s deep expertise in driving innovation will guide our ongoing investment in platforms and technology to ensure we are digital by nature - a key part of our commitment to client needs.”
Our Digital team has expanded at-pace over the past four years; to provide industry-leading platforms to serve the diverse needs of our clients in New Zealand and Australia.
Dawie joins Jarden from executive technology leadership roles across investment and retail banks in South Africa and New Zealand. He was most recently at Westpac Banking Corporation, where he led the group program of transformation towards lines of business. Before that, Dawie was the Chief Information Officer at Westpac New Zealand, responsible for the rejuvenation of technology culture, method and engineering.
Dawie is an Advisory Board member of Clearpoint, one of NZ’s leading software engineering businesses, and an adviser to startups within the FinTech and Cybersecurity landscape.
Dawie will commence the role in August.
